Jennie is passionate about her work which is reflected in her successful professional career.  She has extensive knowledge and experience of children's speech and language problems and works hard at helping both children and parents achieve their goals.  Her caring but professional approach and experience along with her interpersonal skills make her ideally suited to helping both children and parents alike at what can sometimes be a confusing and anxious time.

Earlier in her career, Jennie worked at Ruth Jacobs Children’s Therapy, one of London’s largest independent speech and language therapy practices, where she progressed to the role of Assessment Manager. In 2016, she moved to Surrey and established her own practice, supporting local families and working across both state and independent schools.

Having grown up in the area, Jennie and her family relocated back to Harrogate in 2020.  Since then she has provided tailored speech and language services in a variety of schools, nurseries or in their own home environment to suit the child’s individual needs. 

As a mother of two school-aged children, Jennie understands the concerns parents may have about their child’s development and the importance of feeling listened to, supported and involved in their child’s progress.

Jennie is also a governor at her local state primary school, with responsibility for special educational needs (SEN), the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and early phonics. She also supports the governing body’s oversight of the quality of education.

Born and educated in Harrogate, Jennie has also lived overseas and has an insight and understanding into different cultures, especially the Middle East.
